The Duo Hair & Brow Studio was founded 2017 by two sisters. Born and raised here in Reno, Nevada.

 

Nancy is the “Hair” of The Duo, mastering various hair coloring, cutting hair trends and NBR hair extensions.

Abilene is the “Brow” element specializing in brow design and lash extensions.

Together they have worked in different salon settings, events and expos, weddings and all sorts of special events enhancing the lives and beauty of many people.

 

The beauty industry has always been present throughout their lives, they grew up watching their father cut the family boys’ hair. His father their grandfather would house and help groom people in need back home in Zacatecas, Mexico. The Duo’s Mother which is one of their biggest inspirations, would instill beauty treatments and self care since they were little with at home hair masks and face masks, later she would learn to color hair and was sought out by her coworkers to do their hair, Therefore growing up they were linked some way some how with the beauty industry. Growing up they dreamed of working together, they didn't know what exactly but they made a pact it would be together.

 

Throughout the years after both attending beauty school they saved items they might need for a salon and stored them away, life happened and they kept working separate and their salon plans remained on the backburner. One day in August 2017 they both decided to just go for it with very little to no money only the few items they had saved and stored away they pursued their dream and brought to life their studio in just two months! The Duo Hair & Brow Studio opened its doors November 2017.
